Senior Principal Systems Engineer

Experteer Overview In this Senior Principal Systems Engineer role, you drive the full systems engineering lifecycle from concept to delivery. You will interact with customers and leadership, shaping architectures, CONOPS, and verification strategies to meet performance and safety goals. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure interfaces, test plans, and integration readiness support program milestones. Compensation / Benefits * Lead the full systems engineering lifecycle from concept development through verification and validation * Develop and decompose requirements, allocate interfaces, and manage interface definitions * Create V&V strategies, including Verification Plans and System Test Plans * Collaborate with test and specialty engineering teams to ensure procedures verify requirements * Maintain Interface Control Documents with IPTs, suppliers, and customers * Support system architecture and CONOPS development with cross-functional teams * Provide input to design reviews and integration/test readiness activities * Prepare and deliver technical briefings to internal leadership and external customers Tasks * Bachelor in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master in STEM with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years * Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle: requirements development, management, traceability, and V&V planning/execution * Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS/DOORS Next or similar) * Experience with ICD development and interface definition * Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations * Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO)
