Network Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will join a distributed, global IT infrastructure team responsible for the availability and support of hybrid on-premises and cloud networks. You’ll work hands-on to design, install, troubleshoot, and upgrade enterprise network environments across the UK, Europe and Asia. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud, data centre, and office networks while delivering reliable services. The position offers exposure to international scale and a culture that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus. Pay / Benefits * Operate network appliances and VM-based technologies via CLI or web interfaces to design, implement, diagnose, upgrade, and support networks * Handle incidents, requests, and project work; participate in change discussions as required * Collaborate with Cloud, Data Centre and office network teams to support global environments * Contribute to design builds for network hardware, IP addressing, firewall rules, testing and rollout * Provide WAN/LAN, cabling, routing, VPN, and firewall fault diagnosis and resolution * Engage in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities * Maintain up-to-date documentation and support records; contribute to knowledge articles * Support Service Desk escalations and ensure changes follow change control processes * Assist with monitoring and performance analysis using tools like LogicMonitor * Demonstrate strong customer service and professional conduct across internal and external stakeholders Tasks * 2-5 years’ experience with Juniper, Cisco, Meraki, Forescout NAC, Forcepoint Web Proxy, Palo Alto technologies * 2-5 years’ experience in design builds for network hardware, IP addressing, firewall rules, testing and rollout * 2-5 years’ experience with wired and WiFi LANs * 2-5 years’ experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and 2FA * 2-5 years’ experience in Azure cloud hosted environments and working with peer infrastructure teams * 2-5 years’ experience with global WAN providers and international enterprise networks * Good knowledge of Layer2/3, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPN, certificate management, remote access (VPN/Citrix) and firewall management * Good knowledge of IT security practices; ServiceNow and LogicMonitor familiarity * Certifications - ITIL Foundation, CCNA & CCNP Key requirements * flexible hours * hybrid working * diverse, collaborative culture * career progression opportunities * reasonable adjustments * global exposure
