Network Administrator

A stable, secure, and high-performance network is the backbone of our entire IT infrastructure. We consistently manage our infrastructure in-house-with high standards for availability, segmentation, and security. With us, you won’t just be responsible for operations-you’ll also play an active role in shaping our architecture and security strategy., * Operating, further developing, and troubleshooting our routing and switching infrastructure (primarily Cisco components)

• Administration of our next-generation firewalls-across multiple vendors, including Fortinet (FortiGate), Sophos, and pfSense
• Operation and maintenance of our FortiWeb-based web application firewall to protect our web applications
• Implementation and maintenance of our Fortinet-based SD-WAN environment-from site connectivity to performance optimization
• Vulnerability analysis and systematic hardening of IT systems (network, firewalls, server and client connectivity)
• Network segmentation, VLAN and VPN design, and perimeter security
• Monitoring of network and security components, including alerting and incident response
• Maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation and further development of security policies

For our infrastructure team, we’re looking for an experienced professional who is comfortable working in network and firewall environments and views IT security as an end-to-end responsibility., * Extensive experience in administering Linux servers (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL/Rocky/AlmaLinux)

• Practical expertise in Proxmox VE and, ideally, Ceph or comparable distributed storage solutions
• Experience with several of our core services (Zimbra, Nextcloud, web servers, monitoring, directory services)
• Proficiency in networking, firewalls, DNS, certificates, and backup strategies
• Experience with automation and configuration management (Ansible or similar)
• An analytical, self-directed approach to work and the motivation to further develop a fully self-managed infrastructure
• Good command of German; English for technical documentation
