Job description
Join our team as a Test Engineer at White Sands Missile Range, NM, and play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced testing methods and equipment for defense technology. You will be at the forefront of testing and evaluating both standard and specialized devices, contributing directly to key military integration projects in a dynamic, hands-on environment. This position offers exposure to state-of-the-art technology and the opportunity for growth into advanced engineering or leadership roles within a high-impact sector. [Responsibilities]
- Design, develop, and implement test procedures and equipment for both standard and specialized devices.
- Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and resources for testing projects.
- Provide test areas with key parameters for sample and special testing.
- Specify, conduct, and document required tests for customer samples and unique project requirements.
- Analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements in testing equipment, procedures, or manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards throughout all test operations.
- Operate and maintain a range of technical equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various hand tools.
- Drive and operate heavy-duty vehicles, trailers, and generators for field testing activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience/education.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in test engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with Windows-based PC applications.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.
- Experience using electronic test equipment and technical hand tools.
- Willingness to perform physical duties in remote, sometimes harsh, field environments.
- Ability to achieve and maintain commercial vehicle (CMV) operations certification.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (interim clearance required prior to start).

Adherence to Environmental Health and Safety as well as information security protocols. [Preferred Skills]
- Experience with military ordnance integration and test environments.
- Advanced expertise in hazardous materials handling and environmental controls.
- Previous field operations experience with heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
