Technical Support/SCCM Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role, you will support and secure Windows 11 endpoints across a large device fleet, using SCCM and modern endpoint management. You will work with senior engineers to deliver reliable workstation services and contribute to IT modernization efforts. The role focuses on imaging, deployment, security updates, and issue resolution to maintain compliant, efficient endpoints. You’ll shape desktop engineering through automation, documentation, and process improvements. This position offers meaningful impact across a statewide environment with a collaborative team. Compensation / Benefits * Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot IT devices across an enterprise network * Create and update desktop images, including non-standard standalone systems * Perform security updates and deliver enterprise desktop images * Diagnose security or functionality issues in desktop images and recommend solutions * Maintain and secure all enterprise endpoints for security and functionality compliance * Log, track, and resolve user-reported issues via the IT ticketing system * Resolve Tier III desktop engineering tickets and escalate when needed * Assist staff with software installation, peripheral setup, and basic troubleshooting * Analyze deployment failures, identify trends, and implement corrective actions * Ensure timely maintenance, replacement, and lifecycle management of IT equipment * Recommend and implement technologies and knowledge management tools for desktop engineering * Maintain and update documentation on desktop configurations, software inventory, and automation trends Tasks * 2+ years of proven work experience in a similar role * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology * MCSE or equivalent certification (or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree/certification) * Strong troubleshooting with Windows OS and registry expertise * Knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, Entra ID join models, and identity-based management * Scripting experience (batch, PowerShell, Visual Basic) and automation mindset * Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Key requirements * medical insurance * dental insurance * vision insurance * 401K with company match * HSA * Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
