Job description

Experteer Overview In this Lead Software Engineer role, you will drive the design, development, and secure delivery of scalable technology products within Chase Digital Assistant. You will work as a core technical contributor in an agile team, shaping architecture and solving complex problems that support the firm’s objectives. You’ll lead technical evaluations, promote modern practices, and foster a culture of inclusion. This is an opportunity to influence the technology stack and delivery velocity at scale while aligning with financial services requirements. Compensation / Benefits * Develop innovative software solutions, design and troubleshoot complex problems beyond routine approaches * Deliver secure, high-quality production code and review others’ code * Automate remediation to improve operational stability of applications and systems * Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability * Lead communities of practice to promote adoption of new technologies * Contribute to an inclusive team culture and collaborative environment Tasks * Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 7+ years of experience * Hands-on experience across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability * Automation and continuous delivery proficiency * Advanced understanding of agile methods, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security * Experience with cloud-centric software disciplines (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, mobile) and production-grade development * Proficiency in Java 21 / Python for cloud-native builds and CI/CD * Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (preferably Apache Cassandra) * Working knowledge of messaging technologies (preferably Apache Kafka) * Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating services * Experience with a public cloud (AWS preferred) Key requirements *
