Linux System Administrator

Experteer Overview In this role you will maintain secure, efficient information systems within the Corporate Information Security Office. You’ll manage Linux environments, coordinate with the IA team, and ensure compliance with DoD standards and STIGs. You will work across cross-functional teams to deploy new hardware/software and train staff on new technologies. Compensation / Benefits * Perform system design and implement new hardware and software * Maintain Linux, network devices, and Windows endpoints * Keep information systems compliant with DoD standards * Coordinate with Information Assurance team to meet compliance * Manage privileged access management * Ensure proper handling and storage of classified materials * Maintain baseline configuration of information systems * Lead and collaborate on multiple projects within the area of responsibility * Adopt new technologies and train staff to maintain compliance * Maintain a robust virtual and physical environment Tasks * Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of system administration experience, or equivalent * Minimum 2+ years administering Linux operating systems * Active DoD TS/SCI with Poly clearance * DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) * Experience managing multiple networks in a dynamic environment * Familiarity with RMF requirements for Windows, Linux, and network devices * Ability to interface with security agencies, customers, and management * Strong written and verbal communication skills Key requirements * on-site Huntsville work * training and educational opportunities * inclusive environment * career development * internal mobility * opportunities for cross-team collaboration
