Experteer Overview In this role you will develop and maintain the onboard OS stack for ADAS platforms, including bootchain, Linux OS, and secure boot. You’ll work with hardware, software, and systems teams to ensure reliable platform bring-up and security at scale. You’ll drive OS-level improvements that enable robust, production-ready software for Ford vehicles. This is a fast-paced role that blends embedded systems with automotive safety and performance goals. Compensation / Benefits * Produce, test, and maintain Board Support Packages for multiple platforms * Develop a custom bootchain for the platform * Develop and maintain the custom Linux OS running on ADAS platforms * Implement secure boot mechanisms * Implement recovery boot workflows * Manage CVEs throughout the platform lifecycle * Configure IPC mechanisms between Real-Time and Application domains * Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers to ensure product success Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or higher degrees * Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, buildroot, or similar Linux packaging tech * Experience developing Linux device drivers for Ethernet, GPU, PCIe, or flash devices (UFS, eMMC, OSPI) * Bootloader experience (U-Boot or UEFI) * Experience with Secure Boot, DMVerity, FSCrypt, and other production-security technologies * Strong C++ in embedded applications and systems * Track record of technical leadership in automotive or related fields * Strong communication, organizational, and soft leadership skills Key requirements * competitive compensation * medical, dental, vision insurance * Health Savings Account with employer match * 401(k) with immediate vesting * paid parental leave * paid medical leave
