Experteer Overview As Engineering Manager for the Security & Lifecycle team, you lead a group responsible for nonvolatile memory management, memory maps, and platform security. You shape how software updates are packaged, validated, and safely deployed to vehicles in the field. You guide low-level storage drivers and trusted firmware, ensuring a secure boot chain and authenticated code. You collaborate with safety, manufacturing, and silicon partners to meet automotive safety and security requirements, driving scalable provisioning tooling and manufacturing image creation. This role combines hands-on leadership with architectural influence in a fast-moving, startup-like environment within Latitude. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and grow a team handling nonvolatile memory management, software update workflows, low-level storage drivers, and platform security * Set technical direction for software updates packaging, validation, and safe field application * Design and maintain low-level storage drivers and nonvolatile memory strategies across the compute platform * Own the memory map, allocating space across memory units and storage for consuming teams * Oversee trusted firmware and full key lifecycle (provisioning, rotation, revocation) for secure boot and code authenticity * Direct development of manufacturing image creation and tooling for device provisioning * Partner with systems safety and security engineering to ensure update, storage, and key management meet automotive safety/security standards * Collaborate with silicon and tooling partners to resolve low-level integration issues in storage, firmware, provisioning * Manage hiring, performance, and career development for the team Tasks * Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field * 7+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years with Master’s, or 2+ with PhD) * Significant embedded systems software development experience with strong C++ * At least 2 years in engineering management or technical leadership * Deep knowledge of nonvolatile memory technologies and low-level storage driver development * Experience with software update systems (packaging, validation, safe rollout/rollback) * Experience with trusted firmware (e.g., ARM Trusted Firmware) and secure boot concepts * Experience with cryptographic key management in embedded systems * Understanding of low-level systems programming (memory layout, linker scripts, bootloaders) * Familiarity with automotive/safety-critical software development (ISO 26262) * Experience managing engineering teams including hiring and performance management Key requirements * Competitive compensation * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Health savings account with employer match * Employer-matched 401(k) with immediate vesting * Paid parental leave * Unlimited vacation
