Senior Data Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead analytics initiatives within Abbott Molecular Operations, building data pipelines, time-series forecasting, and digital twin models to drive operational improvements. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate analyses into actionable recommendations and pilot AI-driven initiatives with senior leadership visibility. The position offers independence in a new function and opportunities to shape data science strategy across the division. You help convert raw data into strategic insights that support business decisions. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze data, derive insights, and present results clearly to clients * Collect, clean, and prepare data for analysis using appropriate technologies * Define end-to-end analysis plans to address key business questions * Perform advanced statistical analysis to identify trends and relationships * Develop and validate machine learning models for test data * Work with stakeholders to define questions, timelines, objectives, and success criteria * Identify opportunities for operational, process, or system improvements * Communicate model logic and work with business teams to refine analyses * Translate analytical results into actionable business recommendations * Contribute to development of departmental and site analytics processes Tasks * Bachelor in Computer Science or related discipline; 4 years of relevant experience * Proficiency in SQL, Python; experience with R, Java, Scala, or C++ is a plus * Knowledge of cloud platforms and data modeling; Databricks and Microsoft Azure a plus * Strong business acumen and experience with operational or strategic systems * Advanced analytics knowledge in statistics and mathematical programming * Experience with unstructured data, neural networks, and time-series forecasting * Experience with analytics, modeling, forecasting, or AI projects Key requirements * Health Investment Plan PPO * retirement plan with high employer contribution * tuition reimbursement * FreeU education benefit * career development opportunities
