Staff Engineer Biometrics DevTest

Experteer Overview In this Staff Engineer Dev Test role, you will shape and own the biometrics DevTest domain within HID PACS. You’ll build and maintain a scalable CI/CD testing framework, bridging DevOps and QA Validation to boost automation and product quality. You’ll lead end-to-end testing initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence future work through technical leadership. Pay / Benefits * Drive team formation and ownership of CI/CD pipeline for HID PACS * Establish and maintain scalable automated testing framework and environments * Automate smoke and sanity tests to improve development efficiency * Monitor, triage and resolve CI/CD test failures * Design, build and document CI/CD infrastructure for new features * Liaise with external test facilities to cover test gaps * Communicate test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders * Project manage and provide technical leadership to achieve team goals * Understand product within a wider system and scope interoperability test requirements * Decide on Test Environment setup and capabilities * Contribute to project and product planning discussions * Plan end-to-end and systems integration testing responsibilities Tasks * Engineering degree or equivalent; 7+ years in related field * Experience with device testing, embedded firmware, software testing * Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments * SQL queries for data validation * Scripting experience * Jira or similar tracking system; Agile/Lean methodologies * Ability to write complex coded test solutions * Experience with SBCs (Arduino/Raspberry Pi) and sensor/relay control * Jenkins, NUnit, and scripting; Artifactory/Nexus with Maven/NuGet * Knowledge of test methodologies (DDT, BDD, TDD, AT, Unit, Performance/Reliability) * Systems and Systems Integration testing including End-2-End testing * Experience with test environments design and external test facility coordination * Preferred: Java testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNg, Mockito, dbUnit); NUnit; Python; Bitbucket/Mercurial; Bluetooth, I2C, SPI protocols; Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE Key requirements * Competitive salary and rewards package * Competitive benefits and annual leave * Inclusive culture * Career development opportunities * Global organization with growth opportunities
