Experteer Overview As Senior DevTest Engineer Biometrics in Cardiff, you will lead automated testing within a CI/CD-enabled environment for firmware and software in HID PACS. You will bridge DevOps and QA Validation, establishing scalable test automation to improve release quality and early defect detection. You’ll own test plans, test cases, and non-functional testing across biometric devices, and collaborate with stakeholders to align testing with product goals. Pay / Benefits * Implement a fully automated firmware and software testing strategy within a CI/CD pipeline * Monitor, triage, and resolve CI/CD pipeline test failures * Build and document updated CI/CD infrastructure for new features * Create Test Plans from product specifications and define Test Cases * Design and execute test solutions across functional and non-functional requirements * Collaborate with stakeholders to identify objectives and viable testing solutions * Plan test entry criteria and use case scenarios; perform end-to-end/UX and performance testing * Conduct defect triage and present test reports to stakeholders * Understand product integration within the overall solution and contribute to testing strategy Tasks * Engineering degree or equivalent or suitable experience * Minimum of +4 years in device testing, embedded firmware, or software testing * Experience with Cloud and IaC (AWS and/or Azure; Terraform; Docker) and CI/CD integration * Test-as-code approach with NUnit or similar frameworks * Experience with biometric devices; test orchestration tools (AWS CodePipeline, Codeship, Travis CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions) * Scripting languages (Python, Bash, Groovy); API integrations (REST, NATs) * Version control (Mercurial and/or Bitbucket/Git); Bluetooth, BLE, I2C/SPI familiarity * XML/JSON API structures; Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE, Bluetooth knowledge * Windows/Mobile GUI/Application development and general testing across systems Key requirements * Competitive salary * Competitive benefits * Inclusive culture * Career development opportunities * Global team exposure * Work-life balance
