Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Harlow Council to recruit two Technical Support Officers up to 12 month’s contract. Please note that this post requires the successful individual to be based on-site 3 days per week, increasing to four. Harlow is a district of contrasts and an ideal location to both live and work. The town itself is thriving, with excellent shopping and leisure facilities for all ages. We have good road links to the M11 and M25 and excellent rail connections to London and Stansted Airport, just 35 minutes and 20 minutes away from Harlow respectively., Harlow Council is seeking two Technical Support Officers to join our Compliance Team, supporting the delivery of statutory compliance services across a housing portfolio of over 8,900 properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong IT, organisational and analytical skills who is looking to develop experience within housing, compliance, systems and data management. Whilst administration forms part of the role, this is not a purely administrative position. You will work alongside specialist compliance professionals supporting key safety compliance activities including gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, water hygiene and lift safety. Duties Include but Not Limited to - Provide business, technical and administrative support to the Compliance Team. Schedule appointments and assist in the delivery of statutory compliance programmes. Monitor compliance systems, alerts and shared inboxes, escalating issues where appropriate. Receive, log and coordinate enquiries from residents, contractors and colleagues. Maintain accurate compliance records, certificates and documentation. Support data cleansing, validation and data quality improvement projects. Gather, analyse and map information across multiple systems. Assist with system improvements and compliance-related projects. Produce reports and management information using Microsoft Office applications.
Requirements
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working with large volumes of data and information. Quick to learn new systems and processes. A confident communicator with strong customer service skills. Able to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines. Proactive, adaptable and keen to learn. Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. A team player with a positive and can-do attitude. A degree in Business, IT, Data Analytics or a related discipline would be advantageous but is not essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates with relevant skills and experience.
