Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview As Lead Engineer, you will help shape the network security platform within KPMG’s Digital Nexus team. You’ll align architecture roadmaps with industry best practices and ensure tight integration of Zscaler, GCP, and Palo Alto technologies across the tech stack. You’ll translate industry trends into deliverables, lead technical guidance, and support operations with root cause analysis. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to enable secure, scalable, cloud-native networking solutions that support the firm’s mission. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and maintain technology architecture roadmaps; align with industry standards * Assess current network security architecture and propose improvements * Ensure integration of Zscaler, GCP, and Palo Alto within the IT ecosystem * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry directions and deliver roadmap-driven features on schedule * Provide guidance to ensure adherence to product development processes, performance and budgets * Offer last-tier support for operations, including root cause and preventative analyses * Design system configurations and establish standards for network environments and installations * Provide training and guidance to the Network team * Participate in resource planning and support multi-project execution Tasks * 5+ years of experience with Web proxy products (e.g., ZScaler, Palo Alto Prisma) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP) * Deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (physical Strata and VM-Series), Panorama, and Prisma Access/SaaS security * Hands-on GCP engineering experience (VPC design, Cloud Armor) and integration of security appliances in cloud-native contexts * Proficiency in Network Automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) * Excellent communication skills; strong leadership, prioritization, and teamwork * Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future * Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required * Experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) * Ability to manage multiple projects and engage with stakeholders at all levels Key requirements * comprehensive compensation package * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * disability and life insurance * 401(k) and retirement benefits * personal well-being benefits
