Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview In this role, you will help shape the Network Security Platform within KPMG’s Digital Nexus team, aligning security architecture with industry standards. You will drive and refine technology roadmaps, ensuring seamless integration of Zscaler, GCP and Palo Alto solutions with our infrastructure. You’ll provide guidance, support operations, and lead security engineering efforts to deliver high-quality, scalable outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and maintain technology architecture roadmaps; assess and improve network security architecture * Ensure integration of Zscaler, GCP and Palo Alto technologies with broader infrastructure * Deliver roadmap-based technology solutions on schedule and with high quality * Provide direction, procedures adherence, performance and budget oversight; perform root-cause analysis and preventative measures * Offer last-tier support for operations and enable training for Network team * Design system configurations and enforce standards for network environments * Lead/participate in resource planning and cross-functional collaboration * Operate with integrity and contribute to a respectful work environment Tasks * Minimum five years of experience with Web proxy products (Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP) * Deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (Strata and VM-Series), Panorama, Prisma Access/ZIA/ZPA * Hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) engineering experience (VPC design, Cloud Armor) * Proven experience in Zscaler platform engineering and management of ZIA/ZPA * Strong background in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) * Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and develop high-performance teams * Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future * Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum high school diploma or GED * Ability to manage multiple projects and strong troubleshooting skills Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * disability and life insurance * 401(k) plans * well-being benefits and paid time off
