Job description

Experteer Overview Lead Platform Software V&V Engineer at Ford EVDD to architect and execute safety, performance, and deterministic reliability strategies for next-gen ECUs. You will drive post-silicon bench testing, hardware validation, and automated test frameworks while ensuring ISO 26262 ASIL compliance. You’ll mentor distributed teams and collaborate with cross-functional partners to align hardware-software interfaces and optimize real-time performance. This role offers impact through shaping validation infrastructure and advancing safe, reliable automotive software. Compensation / Benefits * Define validation & verification roadmap, test strategies, and design for post-silicon bench testing and HIL environments * Mentor offshore and regional validation teams, establishing unified best practices for code quality and safety-critical testing * Coordinate cross-site execution to ensure continuous testing and consistent test artifacts * Interface with Systems, Silicon, Firmware, and Safety to align verification with hardware-software interfaces * Execute bench-level validation on silicon Evaluation boards and ECUs and validate STM, memory protection units, and interrupt controllers * Integrate and verify PHY/switch drivers; validate high-speed automotive Ethernet transceiver performance * Architect and execute bootloader/flash validation strategies, including secure boot, UDS over CAN/Ethernet, and dual-bank OTA rollback * Validate Real-Time Drivers (RTD) for bare-metal and AUTOSAR runtimes; benchmark network stack throughput and latency * Design, implement, and maintain automated regression test frameworks controlled by Python; develop target-side tests in C/C++/Rust * Map V&V test specifications to ISO 26262 safety goals (ASIL B-D) and use lab instrumentation to isolate anomalies Tasks * Experience in post-silicon bench testing and HIL for automotive ECUs * Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASIL requirements * Proficiency with Python for test automation; C/C++/Rust for target-side tests * Experience with AUTOSAR and RTD concepts * Familiarity with automotive Ethernet, PHY/switch drivers, and CAN/Ethernet transports * Hands-on testing of bootloaders, secure boot, and OTA mechanisms * Ability to mentor distributed teams and collaborate cross-functionally * Experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and debuggers Key requirements *
