Job description

Experteer Overview As a Network Engineer at GDIT, you will design, implement, and optimize mission-critical government network environments. You will work on the JSP ETM-NG program at the Pentagon, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable LAN/WAN and VPN solutions. You drive network reliability, security, and performance while shaping technical strategy and modernization. This onsite, night-shift role offers visibility across complex systems and tangible impact on national security outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Design, plan and build communications networks * Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrators * Coordinate LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements * Monitor networks with leading technologies * Provide technical solutions through engineering design processes * Plan for implementation of enhancements and upgrades * Analyze customer requirements and deliver solutions for complex problems * Maintain network integrity, backup, and recovery capabilities * Coordinate hardware/software acquisitions and subcontractor services * Evaluate new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities * Lead and guide less-experienced network personnel Tasks * Education: Bachelor’s Degree; 5+ years of related experience * Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI * Current IAT Level II certification * Networking Certification (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP, Brocade, Aruba, or Juniper) or willingness to obtain one * Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, or Aruba networking systems Key requirements * medical plan options * dental and vision plans * 401(k) with company match * paid time off * flexible work weeks where possible * disability and life insurance options
