Job description

  • Design test setups and measurement needs based on test requirements as specified by engineers
  • Maintain the lab’s data acquisition software.
  • Reviewing tests and assisting test technicians in their test configurations
  • Ensure tests are performed by test standards
  • Review fire pump test data for accuracy, and determine if results are acceptable or if rework is required
  • Assist with modernizing test facility and equipment
  • Promote safe work practices
  • Enforce safety rules
  • Participate in meetings pertaining to product tests
  • Provide lab leadership as required

  • Assemble large piping arrangements using hand tools
  • Bending, lifting, turning

  • Working in elevated ambient and high humidity conditions

  • Minimum of 40 hours per week, typically 1stshift but occasional requirements for 2nd shift work

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Microsoft Office
  • LabView programming (but will train if needed)
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment
  • Testing background (but will train if needed)
  • Project planning PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
