SampleManager LIMS Developer- INTL LATAM

Insight Global is seeking seeking a SampleManager LIMS Developer to support the implementation, customization, integration, and enhancement of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s SampleManager platform. This role will play a key part in designing and developing technical solutions that support laboratory operations, business processes, and enterprise system integrations.

The ideal candidate combines strong development skills with experience supporting LIMS, healthcare, scientific, manufacturing, or laboratory applications. They should be comfortable developing custom functionality, working with databases and integrations, and collaborating directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, customize, and support Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS solutions.

Configure workflows, business rules, forms, reports, and automation within SampleManager.

Develop custom functionality using SampleManager VGL and related technologies.

Build and maintain integrations between SampleManager and enterprise applications, laboratory instruments, databases, APIs, and third-party systems.

Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.

Gather technical and functional requirements from laboratory users, business stakeholders, and IT teams.

Support application deployments, upgrades, enhancements, and production releases.

Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and database issues and provide sustainable solutions.

Participate in testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.

Create technical documentation, configuration guides, and deployment documentation.

Database Performance Optimization, 3+ years of experience developing, configuring, or supporting LIMS, ELN, laboratory, scientific, manufacturing, or enterprise applications.

AWS cloud experience.

Hands-on Thermo Fisher SampleManager development experience.

Experience with SampleManager VGL.

Python Development Experience

Databricks experience.

Strong SQL development experience.

Experience working with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.

Experience building integrations between applications, databases, APIs, and external systems.

Fluent Spanish communication skills. Experience supporting laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, food science, or chemical organizations.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business users.

Portuguese language proficiency.
