Staff Site Reliability Engineer, CMDB

Experteer Overview In this role you will advance Visa’s CMDB within the ServiceNow platform, focusing on CMDB data, ITOM discovery, and related components. You’ll work in a global, Agile team to implement stories, ingest data from multiple sources, and support incidents and requests. You’ll enhance CMDB health, CI relationships, and reconciliation while leveraging AI features and cloud discovery to improve ITSM/ITOM outcomes. This is a hands-on SRE/DevOps position with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and platform governance. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and maintain ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM, and related components. * Implement data ingestion (IHETL maps, transform maps) from APIs, JDBC, and CSV sources. * Enhance and maintain CMDB health, CI lifecycle, and reconciliation processes. * Create and optimize scripts, workflows, and automation (JavaScript, Flow Designer, Glide APIs). * Utilize ServiceNow analytics, dashboards, and CMDB query tools for issue resolution and stakeholder questions. * Collaborate with end users to educate and improve platform usage. * Lead planning and execution of CMDB-related ITSM/ITOM engagements across teams. * Integrate ServiceNow with Azure, AWS, and GCP using MID servers and REST/SOAP APIs. * Develop technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks. * Follow best practices for platform configuration, performance, and governance for scalable solutions. Tasks * 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. * 4+ years of ServiceNow development with ITOM focus (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB). * Experience scripting in JavaScript and building integrations (REST/SOAP). * Knowledge of CMDB structure, CI relationships, and data accuracy best practices. * Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work with distributed teams. * ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and/or ITOM Discovery Certification is a plus. * Experience in Agile development and CI/CD practices.
