Data Science - Analyst 4

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead data-driven shipping analytics to improve reliability, cost, and speed across eBay’s global carrier networks. You’ll work with Product, Finance, and Engineering to translate complex logistics data into actionable strategies that scale managed shipping and labeling globally. You will build predictive models, run experiments, and develop scalable data pipelines that enable real-time decision making and better operational visibility. This position combines hands-on analytics leadership with cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable impact in the shipping domain. Compensation / Benefits * Drive analytics, AI, and experimentation to solve complex shipping problems and enhance the global shipping experience * Grow and optimize managed shipping and label platforms, define success metrics, and scale impact globally * Build predictive models and carrier rate simulations to reduce costs and improve delivery performance * Identify friction in the seller shipping and label journey and recommend product/business improvements to boost adoption * Design and evaluate experiments informing product features, pricing, and policy with cross-functional execution * Develop scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and AI-powered monitoring for real-time decisions and visibility Tasks * 8+ years in data science, analytics, or related quantitative role with end-to-end impact * Strong SQL, Excel, and data visualization skills; Python or R knowledge * Experience in product analytics, experimentation, A/B testing, and causal inference * Proven track record applying data science/AI techniques to drive business impact; familiarity with modern AI tools and LLMs preferred * Excellent communication and collaboration across Product, Engineering, Finance, and business teams; logistics/shipping analytics experience is a plus Key requirements * base pay + bonus potential * restricted stock units * medical and financial benefits * 401(k) eligibility * paid time off and parental leave
