Junior Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will build scalable backend software in Java for ADT customers, shaping how AI and automation are embedded in products and engineering workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and UX teams to translate ideas into production-ready code and design scalable systems. You’ll work on integrating multi-modal models and automating processes, with a focus on performance, reliability, and user impact. This is a hands-on opportunity to help drive AI-enabled capabilities across products in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineers to deliver scalable, production-ready code * Design and develop internal and potentially customer-facing agents to automate processes * Integrate multi-modal models into the product pipeline for analysis and automated ML-driven reports * Build system designs prioritizing scalability, performance, and storage * Work with QA to create automated validation for user-facing features * Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments * Ensure stability and performance of production systems with minimal user impact * Estimate effort for new projects (in tokens) * Follow coding standards and full software development lifecycle best practices Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent) * Strong experience with Java backend development * Experience building React web and/or mobile applications * Comfortable with AI-assisted development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude, MCPs, feedback loops) * Ability to write clean, readable code independently (without AI assistance) * Solid understanding of system architecture and design * Experience with web services (REST and/or WebSockets) * Experience with data storage systems: SQL, Key-value stores, Document databases * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) * Proficiency with Git version control Key requirements *
