Job description

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java 17+/Java 21 and Spring Boot.
  • Design, build, and scale microservices-based applications.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and implement secure, reliable backend solutions.
  • Design and support Kafka-based messaging and event-driven architectures.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems and improve application performance.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance.
  • Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and architecture discussions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of backend or full stack software development experience.
  • Expert-level Java 21 or Java 17+ development experience.
  • Extensive Spring Boot experience, including Spring Data, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
  • Advanced knowledge of software design patterns and system architecture principles.
  • Strong SQL skills with database performance tuning experience.
  • Experience with Git, branching strategies, and CI practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka and distributed messaging systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms.
  • Experience with API gateways or service mesh technologies.
  • Background in application performance tuning and security hardening.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Benefits & conditions

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $55.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
