DevOps Engineer - Level 6

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, develop, and maintain secure, containerized software for cloud environments, working within a cross-functional team to implement robust CI/CD and security practices. You’ll shape secure architectures, automate deployments, and drive observability and hardening in container platforms. This is a Mission-critical position in the Space Sector, offering the chance to contribute to secure, scalable systems used in defense and space programs. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and maintain secure containerized software components for cloud deployments * Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters with networking, security, and observability * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security gates and automated testing * Perform security assessments of containerized apps and cloud deployments and drive remediation * Develop and maintain infrastructure as code for repeatable deployments * Collaborate with software, systems, and security engineers on secure architectures and deployment patterns * Document designs, security controls, and operational procedures for cloud platforms Tasks * Active SCI clearance at time of application or active TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI prior to start * Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining containerized applications (e.g., Docker) * Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift * Experience deploying to cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-prem * Experience building CI/CD scripts (Jenkins, Python, GitLab) * Linux administration and shell scripting * Familiarity with microservices and RESTful APIs * Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Argo CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) * Knowledge of secure software development practices (DevSecOps, threat modeling, secure coding) * Experience with vulnerability scanning and image security tools (e.g., Tenable Nessus, Trivy, Anchore, Aqua, Clair, Twistlock) * Active Security+ Certification Key requirements * health insurance * life insurance * disability insurance * savings plan * paid holidays * paid time off
