Lead Engineer - Transmission Line

Experteer Overview In this role you will design high-voltage transmission structures and lines, supporting projects from concept through commissioning. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, compliance, and performance while mentoring junior engineers. You’ll conduct analyses and simulations, review drawings, and interface with clients and contractors to drive successful project outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications * Prepare and review technical specifications and drawings * Conduct engineering analysis and simulations for transmission line design * Mentor and train lower-level engineers and team members * Perform independent reviews of work including calculations, drawings, and PLS-CADD models * Provide project team support during construction and installation * Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet project goals * Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations * Perform field work to support design, construction, and commissioning activities * Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success * Participate in project meetings and provide technical support Tasks * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) * Minimum of 5+ years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage applications * PE License required * Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools * Strong working knowledge of foundation design and analysis * Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD * Familiarity with NESC, ASCE, ACI, RUS, IEC, and IEEE codes and standards * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong desire to mentor, train and lead next generation of engineers Key requirements * Medical, Dental, Vision * Life Insurance * Short and Long-Term Disability * 401(k) match * Flexible Spending Accounts * Parental Leave
