Lead Solutions Architect (AI/ML & Credit Card Technology)

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead architectural direction for core credit card systems and cloud-native solutions, shaping AI-driven initiatives within Citi’s credit card domain. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into scalable tech strategies and oversee end-to-end architectural decisions. The position offers hands-on work with backend systems, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices to deliver secure, high-performance financial software. You’ll contribute to Citi’s transformation by enabling AI-enabled customer experiences at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Provide architectural vision for IT systems and Internet-facing applications * Develop architecture strategy, planning, and problem-solving for assigned systems * Interface with stakeholders and vendors to influence roadmaps and future projects * Account for budgeting, policy, and future-state technology strategies when appropriate * Collaborate with internal/external partners to deliver business and engineering solutions * Assess risk, ensure compliance, and escalate control issues with transparency * Design cloud-native solutions and oversee project technology stacks * Lead architecture reviews and cloud architecture assessments (CART) * Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions across the technology function * Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Tasks * 6+ years of hands-on software development experience with backend and system design * Strong proficiency in Java, Tibco, Python, AI/ML, COBOL * Expertise in backend languages (Java Spring, Python FastAPI/Flask/Django, C#, Node.js) * Web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript; React/Angular/Vue) * Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis) * Middleware and integration (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, TIBCO, MuleSoft) * REST API design, OAuth2/JWT, microservices * MOM/ESB patterns; CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) * Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift/EKS) * DevOps incl.
