Lead Engineer, Network Security Platform

Experteer Overview In this role you will shape and evolve the network security platform for KPMG’s Digital Nexus team, aligning architecture with industry best practices. You’ll integrate core security technologies into the broader tech ecosystem and drive high-quality deliverables to support client-focused initiatives. You’ll lead design decisions, provide guidance to operations, and enable secure, scalable infrastructure. This is a hands-on, cross-functional opportunity to influence security outcomes at scale within a premier professional services firm. Compensation / Benefits * Contribute to technology architecture roadmaps and maintain them; assess current network security architecture and plan improvements * Integrate technologies (Zscaler, GCP, Palo Alto) with the broader infrastructure and ensure roadmap delivery * Maintain deep knowledge of industry directions and deliver roadmap projects on time and with quality * Provide guidance on procedures, ensure product development process adherence, and meet performance and budget targets * Offer last-tier support for operations, including root-cause and preventative analyses; design and enforce system standards * Provide training and guidance to the Network team and perform knowledge transfer * Establish network environments through system configuration and direct system installation * Lead/participate in multi-project efforts with strong customer-service and teamwork focus Tasks * 5+ years of experience with web proxy products (Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma) and other competitive vendors * Experience with cloud environments (Azure, GCP) and Palo Alto firewalls (physical Strata and VM-Series) * Deep expertise in Panorama management and Prisma Access/SaaS security * Hands-on GCP engineering experience (VPC design, Cloud Armor) and integrating security appliances in cloud-native setups * Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for firewall and proxy deployments * Excellent verbal/written communication and ability to work with diverse stakeholders * Ability to lead, prioritize, delegate, and foster high-performance teams in a client-focused setting * Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (no visa sponsorship available) Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * medical and dental plans * vision coverage * disability and life insurance * 401(k) plans * personal well-being benefits
