Job description

The Associate Database Administrator will help to maintain data integrity on the development team by assisting with the processing of donations and completing database projects. The Associate Database Administrator will work to build capabilities in the database and help the development team run efficiently, spending a majority of their time working in Salesforce with development/fundraising data. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and record donations in Salesforce database from all sources including major gift solicitation, stock and wire transfers, and direct mail donations
  • Serve as the liaison between Development and other teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of donation data
  • Manage user accounts and access as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Generate reports on donations to track fundraising progress throughout the year
  • Assist with implementing new projects, and creatively brainstorm better systems to help the development team become more efficient and effective
  • Work closely with fundraising support staff, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and data entry, as well as to implement Salesforce projects
  • Strive to implement Market-Based Management® and bring knowledge of the guiding principles to the development team
  • Assist with managing fast-paced changes on-site at major donor events
  • Ensure donors are thanked appropriately and all gratitude communications are recorded
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • 1 year of Salesforce Administrator experience required, Salesforce Administrator Certification a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must possess strong computer skills - especially Microsoft suite
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous about preserving data integrity
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in translating high-level/technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with staff and vendors, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, environment
