Requirements

Sr IT Specialist Location: NY City, NY ( submit only Local) Duration: 12+ months (Onsite 5 days) Interview: Video+ in person Email: resumes@sparcts.com Job Description - Seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiency working with:

Windows Server/Desktop operating systems, users administration, file system, software, and services
Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration
Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup
Fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall
Fundamental understanding of security principles, ACL, Encryption
Scripting: PowerShell, bash, ksh or perl for automating routine tasks
Experienced with monitoring system health and performance, able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts
Disaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems, applications and data
Patch and firmware installation and management
Strong customer service mindset, providing +1 end user support experience
Knowledge of Security software like Prowatch or Genetec - a plus
