Test Automation Software Engineer - Level 5

Experteer Overview As a Senior Test Automation Software Engineer, you will drive automated testing and systems verification for complex space-scale programs. You join a collaborative Space Sector team delivering secure, high-assurance solutions. You translate requirements into automated tests and integrate them within modern CI/CD and agile workflows. You will help ensure performance, reliability and verification across the full system lifecycle, from concept to disposal. This role offers impactful work on mission-critical space systems and opportunities to shape testing practices in a cutting-edge, on-site environment. Compensation / Benefits * Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation analyses for total systems * Analyze system products across all lifecycle stages (concept to disposal) * Convert customer/product requirements into total system hardware/software specifications within constraints * Conduct functional/timeline analyses, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition * Maintain and improve operational procedures; capture lessons learned and create new procedures * Interface with program and customer personnel to align on objectives Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s with 10 years OR PhD with 8 years; plus TS/SCI clearance current and in-scope * Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) * Experience in Agile delivery leading cross-functional teams * Experience with product lifecycles for new and existing products * Ability to translate technical and business requirements into Epics/Features/User Stories * Experience in Python * Experience with test automation frameworks (Behave, Zephyr, Cucumber, RFT, Robot Framework) * Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Nexus * Experience with CI/CD orchestration using Jenkins and GitLab * Current or prior space domain familiarity and MBSE/Doors/Cameo awareness (preferred) Key requirements * Total Rewards package * health insurance coverage * life and disability insurance * savings plan * company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO)
