Job description

We are adding a Junior Data Operations Analyst to our team to support a project for a major Spanish telecommunications firm that is currently expanding. As this client grows their infrastructure, they need help managing the massive amount of data generated by their new network sites and customer records. You will help us ensure this information moves correctly between their old systems and the new tools we are building for them. This is a full-time, fully remote position where you will focus on the practical side of data management.About Pixel Systems Pixel Systems is a small agency that builds the software tools businesses actually use.We do not focus on flashy marketing sites or social apps.Instead, we solve practical problems like CRM integrations, admin dashboards, and complex database migrations. Our clients come to us when their spreadsheets become too big to manage or when their different software tools refuse to talk to each other. We use reliable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because they are stable and easy to maintain. We provide fixed quotes, show our progress in weekly demos, and hand over all the code and documentation when we are finished. We are a remote team that values working code over long planning sessions. The Role In this role, you will be the person who makes sure data is clean and accurate before it reaches our databases.Much of your time will be spent auditing records from the telecommunications firm to find errors or missing information.Without clean data, the most advanced software is useless. You will work remotely, documenting your progress and flagging issues as you find them.Your daily tasks will include: Auditing records from the telecommunications firm for accuracy.Finding errors or missing information in large datasets.Moving data between legacy systems and new databases.Verifying that migrations were successful and complete.Helping developers understand the data structures they are working with.Documenting the specific steps taken during every data transfer.Flagging inconsistencies to senior team members as soon as they appear. What you bring We need someone who is exceptionally organized and comfortable with repetitive tasks that require high accuracy. You do not need a long resume for this role, but you do need to be someone who enjoys tidying up messy information and making it useful. We value clarity and the ability to follow a process without cutting corners. The following traits are important: Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.Comfort with data-heavy tasks that require consistent accuracy.Basic understanding of how data is structured and stored.Ability to use Excel or Google Sheets for more than just simple lists.A basic understanding of how to write simple SQL queries. The habit of documenting your work clearly so others can follow it.The ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.A preference for practical, hands-on work over theoretical plans.Helpful background While this is an entry level role, there are a few technical skills that will help you get started. We use a specific set of tools and familiarity with them is a plus. This position is paid, and the compensation is competitive for this type of entry level role in the current market.Helpful skills include: Basic familiarity with Postgres or other relational databases.A general understanding of how APIs work to transfer data.Previous exposure to GitHub for tracking your work.Basic experience with Python or Node for writing simple scripts.Past work in data entry or administrative roles where accuracy was vital.Knowledge of how telecommunications networks or site data is organized.Experience with technical documentation or manual writing.Working at Pixel Systems Working here is different from working at a large corporation. We have a flat structure with no layers of middle management. You will work directly with our senior developers and our founders. We value results and clear communication over long meetings or office politics.Since we are a remote team, we rely on written documentation and clear task lists to stay on track. You will be helping people like operations managers and technical teams at the telecommunications firm do their jobs more effectively by providing them with reliable data.We are a small, stable team that prefers solving real operational headaches over chasing new trends. We take pride in building software that stays running long after we have finished the project. We look for people who are reliable, honest about what they know, and willing to learn how we do things. We provide a calm work environment where you can focus on your tasks without constant interruptions or unnecessary drama.
