What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Implement and develop the Estate Services Asset Management Software System and ensure this system continually improves with respect to functionality, efficiencies and economies of scale with respect to Estate Services work processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Estate Services team and stakeholders to identify, design and implement effective business support asset management processes in response to changing needs and system development as required
  • Deputise for the Estate Services Projects Officer to serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders as required.
  • Support with the security of Estate Services systems through the development of policies, processes, workflows, controls and audits.
  • Ensure standardised asset management and energy data reports are provided for all service areas; particularly for site specific energy management to support departmental targets.
  • Monitor energy data on a monthly basis and initiate investigative andremedial works to resolve issues and ensure systems are operating at optimum levels.

  • Monitor and access external grant opportunities for energy saving initiatives available to Council.
  • Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analysing data. Develop ad hoc reports in response to queries as required, working with stakeholders to identify information requirements.·

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline e.g Business Information Systems, Facilities Management or Energy Management
  • (consideration may be given to applicants who do not hold a third level qualification but who can demonstrate using specific examples a minimum of 4 years experience as below)
  • 2 years relevant experience in the each of the following;
  • Operating and administering an Asset Management System
  • Dealing with challenging system queries and advising both internal and external customers
  • MS Tams and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Report Writing skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of business processes
  • A full current driving licence or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full.
