Our team at the BMW Group focuses on pre-series software development for the Android Automotive platform. We work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, bringing innovative software components toward series production alongside experienced engineers. What awaits you? You will support the design and development of software components for the Android Automotive platform in C++ within a pre-series project context. Furthermore, you help to integrate developed components with other system modules using defined APIs. In addition, you contribute to developing test Android applications to verify and validate component functionality. Moreover, you will assist in collaborating with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews and technical discussions. You gain hands-on experience in a pre-series, deadline-driven automotive software environment with regular feedback from your mentor. What should you bring along? Studies in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering or a related field. Practical experience with Linux including command line, scripting and system configuration. Solid programming skills in C++, Python and Java or Kotlin. Foundational knowledge of the Android or AOSP platform including its concepts and build system. Familiarity with API-based component integration and strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for automotive software in a pre-series context. Availability for regular on-site presence with 2 days per week in the office. Good communication skills in German or English.
