AI Engineer, Manager - Tax Transformation

Experteer Overview As Deloitte Tax, AI Engineer Manager, you will lead the design, development, deployment, and support of custom AI applications that address key business needs. You will steer a team of engineers, drive projects, and maintain strong stakeholder communications to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with our tax services mission. You will tackle scalable Python-based systems, mentor juniors, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful, enterprise-grade software. Compensation / Benefits * Define and enforce coding standards across projects * Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality * Work independently and in close collaboration with the team * Communicate instructions clearly and manage day-to-day operations * Engage with clients regularly to align expectations * Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications * Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices * Optimize code for performance and scalability * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions * Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure reliability * Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code and processes * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers Tasks * 5+ years of Python development experience * Hands-on FastAPI experience with Pydantic for data validation * Proficiency in asynchronous and parallel programming with asyncio * Experience in Agile environments and design patterns * Proficiency in .NET Core/ASP.NET Core Web API and SQL/NoSQL databases * Ability to travel up to 10% * Active accreditations such as CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, or SAFe certifications (as listed) * Experience with LLMs, agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph), and multi-modal Gen AI models * Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector databases, and Azure/AWS * Experience with frontend (Angular), MongoDB, NPM, and Azure DevOps Build/Release configuration Key requirements *
