AI Engineer, Manager - Tax Transformation

Experteer Overview In this role, you will oversee design, development, deployment, and support of AI applications for tax services. You’ll lead a engineers team, drive project execution, and ensure high-quality outcomes aligned with Deloitte’s objectives. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and communicate with clients to translate business needs into scalable software. You’ll also mentor junior developers and establish best practices to enhance performance and reliability. This position offers a chance to shape enterprise AI solutions within a tax-focused delivery environment. Compensation / Benefits * Oversee design, development, deployment, and maintenance of robust AI/Python applications. * Lead and mentor a team of engineers; set priorities and ensure timely delivery. * Define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices. * Collaborate cross-functionally and manage day-to-day project operations. * Communicate with clients and stakeholders to align on requirements and progress. * Write clean, scalable Python code and optimize for performance. * Create comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and workflows. * Address technical issues to maintain reliability and performance of applications. * Foster a collaborative environment and provide guidance to junior developers. Tasks * 5+ years of experience with Python application development. * Hands-on experience with FastAPI and Pydantic for data validation. * Proficiency in asynchronous/parallel programming using asyncio. * Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with core design patterns. * Proven skills in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and databases (SQL/NoSQL, Entity Framework 6+). * Ability to travel up to 10% and willingness for hybrid work (2-3 days in-person). * Active accreditations such as CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, or relevant technology certifications (e.g., AWS, CISSP, CRISC, SAFe, CSSLP). * Experience with LLMs and agentic AI frameworks; familiarity with LangGraph and RAG pipelines. * Exposure to front-end (Angular) and databases (MongoDB), with Azure DevOps Build/Release experience.
