Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this Senior Consultant role, you help clients strengthen data protection and PKI capabilities within complex environments. You serve as a trusted advisor, shaping encryption strategies and certificate lifecycle management across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid setups. You lead data protection initiatives, drive secure key management, and help clients stay ahead of evolving cryptography and risk trends. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection, encryption requirements, and secure key management * Design, implement and operate encryption strategies across environments to reduce data risks and manage PKI lifecycle * Monitor certificate health and govern PKI systems to prevent downtime and breaches * Lead and support delivery teams to ensure high-quality, on-time client work and clear communications * Stay current on emerging encryption tech (e.g., post-quantum cryptography, confidential computing) and industry trends * Evaluate and recommend new tools and solutions to enhance data security * Engage in project management activities: timelines, status updates, and stakeholder communication * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to align data protection with regulatory requirements * Support strategy, architecture, roadmaps, and implementation workstreams * Travel 25-50% as needed to serve clients Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 5+ years in data protection and information security (data discovery, classification, DLP, cloud security, encryption, CLM) * 5+ years PKI concepts (certificates, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM, key management) * 2+ years implementing encryption technologies (database/file PKI, TLS, BYOK, client/server encryption) * 2+ years developing data protection strategies, roadmaps, and frameworks * 2+ years hands-on experience with one or more data protection technologies * 2+ years experience with CLM platforms (AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * 2+ years with cryptographic standards/protocols (TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing, NIST) * 2+ years certificate discovery, inventory, renewal, and compliance monitoring * 2+ years working on integration with F5, load balancers, Kubernetes, API gateways, cloud platforms * 2+ years client-facing skills: requirements gathering, stakeholder mgmt, facilitation, executive communication * 2+ years leading small teams/workstreams and delivering client-ready outputs * Ability to travel 25-50% * Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar Key requirements *
