Experteer Overview As a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Cyber team, you help clients mitigate data risks through robust encryption, secure key management, and PKI lifecycle solutions. You will design, implement, and operate data protection controls across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments, guiding stakeholders and leading delivery teams. You’ll stay ahead of encryption technologies and evolving cyber risk trends to deliver meaningful security improvements. This role offers impact across clients, technology, and security programs with opportunities to shape data protection strategy. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as subject matter expert advising on data protection, encryption, and secure key management based on new data risks * Design, implement, and operate encryption strategies and PKI programs across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments * Monitor PKI health, manage certificate lifecycles, and prevent downtime or security breaches * Lead client engagements: drive execution, communicate updates, and ensure high-quality deliverables * Track project timelines and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery * Stay current on emerging encryption tech and industry trends; evaluate and recommend new tools * Provide leadership to delivery teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field * 5+ years in data protection and information security (data discovery, classification, DLP, cloud security, encryption, CLM, etc.) * 5+ years PKI concepts: certificates, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM, key management * 2+ years implementing encryption technologies and TLS, with cloud encryption concepts (BYOK, client-server encryption) * 2+ years developing data protection roadmaps, strategies, and architectures * 2+ years hands-on with data protection technologies and CLM platforms (e.g., AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * 2+ years with cryptographic standards (TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing; NIST-aligned practices) * 2+ years certificate discovery, inventory, automation, renewal, compliance monitoring * 2+ years supporting strategy, architecture, roadmaps; working with IT and business stakeholders * 2+ years understanding integrations with F5, load balancers, WAFs, Kubernetes, API gateways, cloud platforms * 2+ years client-facing skills (requirements gathering, stakeholder management, workshops, executive communication) * 2+ years leading small teams and producing client-ready deliverables * Ability to travel 25-50% on average * Limited sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
