Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will build and maintain automation, tooling, and integrations to support reliable, secure, and scalable storage infrastructure. You’ll work in the Storage squad within the Platform Tribe, collaborating across security, operations, and engineering teams to improve operational efficiency. You’ll translate operational needs into practical automation, contribute to CI/CD, and enhance monitoring and reporting. This is an opportunity to shape enterprise infrastructure through hands-on development and practical tooling. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and maintain scripts, utilities, and automation workflows to streamline infrastructure delivery * Build internal tools, dashboards, and self-service capabilities for operations, monitoring, provisioning, and incident response * Collaborate with senior engineers to translate operational needs into automation * Create API, CLI, and web-based integrations to improve administration and service delivery * Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and deployment processes for automation tooling * Troubleshoot automation workflows, Linux systems, APIs, networking, DNS, and monitoring * Automate routine tasks (provisioning, health checks, reporting, maintenance, compliance) * Develop reusable code/templates/modules for repeatable infrastructure operations * Enhance observability with alerts, metrics, logs, dashboards, and reporting automation * Provide documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for automation and platform support * Participate in production support and on-call activities for service restoration and incident follow-up * Identify manual operations and propose automation or tooling improvements * Engage in incident response and continuous improvement of automation and observability Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field or equivalent hands-on experience * Foundational software development or scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, JavaScript) with 3-6 years of experience preferred * Basic Linux, networking, DNS, APIs, and infrastructure concepts * Experience creating scripts or small tools to solve operational problems * Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, testing, and code reviews * Ability to read documentation and translate requirements into technical solutions * Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and willingness to learn infrastructure through development * Good written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and reporting * Interest in improving operational efficiency via automation and tooling Key requirements * medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with no employee premium costs * retirement plan with 401k matching
