Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you lead embedded engineering pods to deliver GenAI solutions for Deloitte’s strategic clients, guiding technical direction while remaining hands-on. You influence executive decision-making and ensure scalable, production-ready architectures across onshore and hybrid delivery models. You collaborate with client teams to define success metrics and drive the transformation of data, AI, and platform capabilities. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape AI-enabled solutions at scale for public sector and enterprise clients. Compensation / Benefits * Lead client-facing engineering partnerships and define success metrics for GenAI implementations * Steer multi-pod delivery, ensure execution discipline, governance, and quality gates * Mentor junior engineers and coordinate onshore/offshore resources * Architect and oversee delivery of LLM-enabled apps, copilot/agentic workflows, and knowledge search experiences * Govern end-to-end RAG pipelines (ingestion, embedding, retrieval, hybrid search) for production-grade quality * Review production-quality code and contribute to data pipelines powering GenAI use cases * Guide data management, CI/CD, testing, logging, and documentation practices * Engage in executive briefings and platform partner engagements to shape pipelines and deals * Balance prototype-to-production transitions and align with client IT leadership and business owners * Ensure secure, compliant, and scalable cloud-based GenAI solutions (AWS/Azure/GC) Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering * Minimum Secret level security clearance * 10+ years of software/data/analytics engineering experience * 6+ years building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in production * 6+ years Databricks experience with Lakeflow Connect, Lakebase, Agent Bricks, Model Serving, Genie, or Databricks Apps * 6+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions * 5+ years building maintainable code and CI/CD DevOps in Databricks * Willingness to travel ~50% * Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship * Professional Databricks certifications (required) * Preferred cloud experience (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) and platform services familiarity * Experience with Spark, Airflow/dbt, streaming, data modeling, MLOps, API/microservices integrations * Experience operating in hybrid onshore/offshore teams * Awareness of security, privacy, and compliance considerations Key requirements *
