Experteer Overview As a Lead Databricks FDE, you will guide senior, client-facing engineering pods in deploying GenAI solutions, shaping technical direction, and ensuring production-grade delivery. Youâll work with strategic clients to define success metrics, navigate executive sponsorship, and scale architectures across onshore and offshore teams. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership, enabling impactful AI and data initiatives for government and public sector clients. Youâll influence C-level decisions while maintaining technical credibility and delivering reliable, scalable platforms. Compensation / Benefits * Lead onshore/offshore engineering pods (2-5 members), owning delivery health and resource management * Set delivery standards: sprints, communication plans, risk management, quality gates * Coordinate multi-pod engagements for reliable architecture and client experience * Architect and oversee delivery of LLM-enabled applications and RAG pipelines * Define evaluation frameworks for quality, latency, cost, and governance * Review production-quality code and guide data pipelines powering GenAI use cases * Mentor junior engineers and ensure CI/CD, testing, documentation practices * Engage with clients and platform partners, shaping pipeline from prototype to production * Define prompt engineering, tool-use patterns, and human-in-the-loop controls * Govern end-to-end data and AI infrastructure, with strong data management and security considerations Tasks * Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering * Minimum Secret level security clearance * 10+ years in software/data engineering or analytics * 6+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments * 6+ years Databricks experience with Lakeflow Connect, Lakebase, Agent Bricks, Model Serving, Genie, Databricks Apps * 6+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions * 5+ years building reliable, maintainable code and CI/CD DevOps in Databricks * Ability to travel ~50% * Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship * Professional Databricks certifications (required) Key requirements *
