Cyber - Palo Alto SecOps - Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you will help clients strengthen cyber resilience by deploying Next-Generation SOC capabilities and guiding threat detection strategies. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement cortex-based platforms, integrate data sources, and automate responses. The position sits within Deloitte’s Cyber Defense & Resilience practice, focusing on scalable security operations and risk-informed decision making. You will connect technical outcomes to client value and drive secure, proactive defense at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Lead design and deployment of Next-Generation SOC platforms (Cortex XSIAM) and SOAR playbooks * Integrate log and telemetry sources for data quality and visibility * Develop and optimize automated incident containment and remediation workflows * Advise clients on threat detection use cases and automation strategies * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance solutions and present findings to stakeholders Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or another technical field * 4+ years of experience in cloud, network, or identity security (AWS, GCP, Azure) * 3+ years of experience with SOC tools (Cortex XSIAM, Cortex XDR, Splunk or similar SIEM) * 3+ years of SOC experience in detection engineering, automation, and data management * 3+ years of experience with EDR platforms (Microsoft Defender, Cortex XDR, CrowdStrike) and governance/security frameworks * Ability to travel ~50% * Security certifications such as PCNSE, CCSK, CISSP, CEH, or CCSP preferred Key requirements *
