Experteer Overview In this role you will apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization to address mid-level business problems and generate actionable insights. You will build and deploy data-driven solutions that align with business objectives and integrate into existing processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and continuously sharpen your data science skills to support Xcel Energy’s data strategy. This position offers opportunities to work on impactful problems in the energy sector and grow with the company. Compensation / Benefits * Collect and clean data from multiple sources to ensure quality * Transform data using SQL, Python, and R * Apply statistical methods and ML algorithms for exploration and modeling * Support development, validation, and deployment of models to predict, classify, and optimize outcomes * Develop understanding of delivering models in production environments * Create visualizations to communicate findings effectively * Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions * Communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences * Balance learning with practical application * Understand project scope in relation to broader strategic initiatives Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field * For Data Scientist level: 3 years of data science or application development experience; 2 years if holding an MS or PhD; certifications may substitute for degree or experience Key requirements * Annual Incentive Program * Medical/Pharmacy Plan * Dental * Vision * 401(k) plan * Paid time off (PTO)
