Cyber Data Protection/PKI Manager

Experteer Overview In this role, you partner with clients to shape data protection and encryption strategies within cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will design and operate solutions that reduce data risk and manage certificates, while guiding delivery and ensuring timely, on-budget outcomes. You’ll stay ahead of encryption trends and advise on PKI, key management, and governance to strengthen clients’ cyber posture. This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on architecture and delivery impact. Compensation / Benefits * Act as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Advise on encryption, decryption, secure key management, and PKI strategies across environments * Design, implement, and operate data protection and certificate lifecycle solutions * Drive engagement execution, communicate with clients and Deloitte leadership, and track timelines * Stay current on encryption technologies and recommend tools to enhance security * Lead discovery, governance, and delivery activities across projects Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 7+ years in data protection and information security (data discovery, classification, DLP, cloud security, encryption, etc.) * 7+ years PKI concepts and enterprise trust models * 5+ years leading CLM strategy and implementation using platforms like AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, or DigiCert * Advanced cryptography knowledge, cert lifecycle processes, key management, HSM integration * Experience defining target-state architectures for large-scale environments * Hands-on certificate automation across load balancers, WAFs, API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud, and servers * Strong client leadership and executive stakeholder management * Ability to travel 25-50% * Mentoring capability for junior practitioners Key requirements *
