Cyber Data Protection/PKI Manager

Experteer Overview In this role you will guide cyber strategy and transformation for clients, focusing on data protection, encryption, and PKI. You will act as a trusted advisor, shape target architectures, and lead delivery of governance, risk, and security initiatives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes while staying ahead of evolving cryptographic technologies. This is an opportunity to influence large-scale security programs and demonstrate leadership in a fast-paced Deloitte cyber practice. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Advise on encryption, decryption, secure key management, and PKI strategies across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid * Design and operate technology and process solutions to reduce data risk (certificate lifecycle management, monitoring, deployment) * Drive day-to-day engagement execution, communicate updates, and track timelines for delivery * Stay current on emerging encryption technologies and recommend tools to strengthen data security Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 7+ years in data protection and information security with extensive PKI experience * 5+ years leading certificate lifecycle management (CLM) using platforms such as AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert * Advanced cryptography knowledge, certificate lifecycle, key management, HSM integration, and policy enforcement * Ability to define target-state architecture and operating models for large-scale environments * Hands-on certificate automation across load balancers, WAFs, API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud, and servers * Experience leading discovery, inventory remediation, renewal automation, and compliance monitoring * Strong client leadership, stakeholder management, and ability to guide offshore/onshore teams * Willingness to travel up to 25-50% Key requirements *
