Cyber Data Protection/PKI Manager

Experteer Overview You will drive strategic data protection and encryption initiatives for clients, shaping secure architectures and PKI programs. In this role, you partner with cross-functional teams to reduce data risk, implement certificate lifecycle management, and guide cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You act as a trusted advisor, translating business goals into practical security blueprints while staying ahead of emerging encryption technologies. This position offers meaningful impact through leading transformations that strengthen client cyber postures and governance. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Advise on encryption, decryption, secure key management, and PKI strategies across environments * Design, implement, and operate data protection solutions including certificate lifecycle management and monitoring * Drive day-to-day engagement execution, communicating updates and tracking timelines * Stay current on emerging encryption tech and evaluate tools to strengthen security * Lead technical workstreams and coordinate with onshore/offshore teams * Translate requirements into architecture blueprints and implementation plans * Support governance, risk assessments, and enterprise security transformations Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in relevant field * 7+ years in data protection and information security (including data discovery/classification, DLP, encryption, cloud security, etc.) * 7+ years PKI architecture expertise * 5+ years leading certificate lifecycle management (AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert, or similar) * Advanced knowledge of cryptography, certificate lifecycles, key management, HSM integration * Hands-on experience with certificate automation across load balancers, WAFs, API gateways, Kubernetes, cloud, and servers * Experience leading discovery, remediation, renewal automation, and compliance monitoring * Strong client leadership and executive stakeholder management * Ability to travel 25-50% Key requirements *
