Experteer Overview As Consultant for Life and Long-Term Care Competitive Intelligence, you translate industry, competitor, and market data into actionable insights to guide sales, product, and leadership decisions. You monitor product changes, pricing, and distribution trends, building clear viewpoints on Nationwide’s market position. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to align intelligence with business priorities and deliver concise market narratives for various audiences. Your work helps shape strategy, inform field execution, and highlight opportunities for growth. Compensation / Benefits * Monitor life and long-term care competitor products, pricing, underwriting, distribution, and industry activity * Represent Nationwide to carrier partners through industry organizations * Develop market trend reports and industry data summaries for diverse audiences * Compile and analyze competitive data from internal and external sources to support decisions * Develop clear points of view on Nationwide’s market leadership, competitiveness, gaps, and risks * Support sales and distribution with timely, practical competitive insights * Prepare leadership presentations on trends, moves, risks, and implications * Build and maintain competitive intelligence resources, profiles, and recurring reporting * Collaborate with product, sales, strategy, and other stakeholders to align intelligence with priorities * Respond to ad hoc requests with thoughtful analysis and clear recommendations * Present as a credible voice on the life and LTC landscape across business discussions Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or related area * 8-10 years of experience in pricing, actuarial, product, or related business unit * Strong knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and competitive landscape * Proficiency with database software such as SAS or SQL; experience with data mining is a plus * Knowledge of actuarial concepts, pricing and product knowledge; strong analytical and reporting skills * Ability to present complex findings clearly to executives and cross-functional partners * Experience leading projects or collaborating in interdisciplinary teams * Licenses or designations related to insurance or analytics are a plus Key requirements * medical/dental/vision * life insurance * short and long term disability * paid time off * 401(k) with company match * pension plan
