Cyber - Palo Alto SecOps - Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design and deployment of Next-Generation SOC platforms (including Cortex XSIAM), integrate log and telemetry sources, and develop automated response workflows. You will advise clients on threat detection and SOC capabilities while working with cross-functional teams to enhance solutions. This position lets you shape security operations for diverse clients, driving faster detection and containment of incidents. You will operate at the intersection of technology, analytics, and client advisory work in a dynamic consulting environment. Compensation / Benefits * Lead design and deployment of Next-Generation SOC platforms (Cortex XSIAM), SIEM ingestion, and SOAR playbooks * Integrate log and telemetry sources for data quality and visibility * Develop and optimize automated incident containment and remediation workflows * Advise clients on threat detection use cases, automation strategies, and SOC capabilities * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance solutions and present findings to stakeholders Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or another technical field * 4+ years in cloud, network, or identity security including 3+ years with AWS, GCP, or Azure and native security tools * 3+ years with Security Operations tools/platforms (Cortex XSIAM, Cortex XDR, Splunk or similar SIEM) * 3+ years in SOC experience including detection engineering, automation/playbook development, log/source management, data ingestion/manipulation * 3+ years with EDR platforms (Microsoft Defender, Cortex XDR, CrowdStrike) and governance/security frameworks * Ability to travel 50% on average * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * reasonable accommodations * global consulting environment * opportunity for travel * professional development programs * cross-functional collaboration
