Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this role, you apply expert data protection and PKI guidance to help clients manage data risks and encryption strategies across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will design and operate encryption and certificate management solutions while staying ahead of evolving cryptography trends. You’ll lead delivery efforts, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate progress to clients and leadership. This position offers the chance to influence security posture in diverse industries and contribute to robust, scalable data protection programs. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Design, implement, and operate encryption strategies across environments to manage PKI lifecycle * Monitor health of certificate infrastructures and ensure certificate management processes * Lead and support delivery teams, ensuring quality and timely client deliverables * Track project timelines and maintain on-time, on-budget delivery * Stay current on emerging encryption tech and industry trends * Proactively evaluate and recommend new data security tools and solutions Tasks * 5+ years in data protection and information security (including data discovery, classification, DLP, cloud security) * 5+ years with PKI concepts (certificates, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM, key management) * 2+ years implementing encryption technologies and CLM, TLS, and cloud encryption concepts * 2+ years developing data protection strategies, roadmaps, and frameworks * 2+ years hands-on experience with CLM platforms (AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * 2+ years with TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing, and NIST-aligned practices * 2+ years certificate discovery, inventory, automation, renewal, and compliance monitoring * 2+ years working with system integration points (F5, load balancers, WAFs, Kubernetes, API gateways, cloud platforms) * 2+ years client-facing skills (requirements gathering, workshops, executive communication) * 2+ years leading small teams/workstreams and delivering client-ready outputs * Willingness to travel 25-50% * Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar Key requirements *
