Cyber Data Protection/PKI Specialist Senior Consultant

Experteer Overview In this Senior Consultant role, you help clients design and operate data protection and PKI solutions to guard sensitive data across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You act as a trusted advisor on encryption strategies, key management, and certificate lifecycles, while leading delivery and ensuring value-driven outcomes. You stay ahead of encryption innovations and propose tools that strengthen the client’s cyber posture. This role combines technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to drive secure data protection programs. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection and encryption requirements * Design, implement and operate encryption strategies across environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) and manage PKI lifecycle * Monitor certificate infrastructures and ensure robust certificate management to prevent downtime * Lead delivery engagements, drive day-to-day execution, and communicate progress to clients and leadership * Track project timelines and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery * Stay updated on emerging encryption tech and industry trends * Evaluate and recommend new tools to enhance data security * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, legal/compliance, and executives Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in relevant field * 5+ years in data protection and information security (including data discovery, classification, DLP, cloud security, encryption, CLM) * 5+ years with PKI concepts (certificates, CAs, RA, CSR, OCSP, CRL, HSM, key management) * 2+ years implementing encryption technologies (PKI, CLM, TLS) and cloud encryption concepts (BYOK, client/server-side) * 2+ years developing data protection strategies, roadmaps and frameworks * 2+ years hands-on with one or more data protection technologies * 2+ years CLM platforms experience (AppViewX, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert) * 2+ years experience with cryptographic standards (TLS/SSL, SSH, S/MIME, code signing, NIST) * 2+ years certificate discovery, inventory, renewal and compliance monitoring * 2+ years cross-functional implementation workstreams and client-facing skills * 2+ years experience with integration points across F5, load balancers, WAFs, Kubernetes, API gateways, cloud platforms * 2+ years client-facing skills and executive communication * 2+ years leading small teams/workstreams and delivering client-ready outputs * Ability to travel 25-50% * Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM) or similar * Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Key requirements *
