From your expertise, you directly contribute to safeguarding critical operations and maintaining business continuity - today and in the future., The Data Engineer is an experienced Power BI Dashboard Developer to design, build, and optimize solutions that support data-driven decision-making. The consultant will work in the Security, Risk & Compliance team and closely with data engineers and IT teams to transform business requirements into interactive dashboards, reports, and analytical insights. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Microsoft Power BI with a solid understanding of data modelling and IT processes.

Tasks include:

• Dashboard & report development.

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Translate business requirements into meaningful visualizations and KPIs.

• Create user-friendly reports tailored to different stakeholder groups.

• Ensure consistency in reporting standards and visualization best practices.

• Create and document data models, solutions, data definitions, and technical designs.

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.

• Gather business requirements through workshops and interviews.

• Advise stakeholders on reporting possibilities and analytical approaches.

• Provide demonstrations and user training sessions.

TenneT is seeking a Data Engineer who combines strong technical expertise in Power BI dashboard development with the organizational insight and communication skills needed to gather business requirements, translate them into effective reporting solutions and engage stakeholders in the proposed approach.

What do you bring?

• At least 4-8 years of experience in Business Intelligence and reporting.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.

• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service and Dataflows.

• Experience in developing and optimizing Power BI queries using Power Query (M Language), SQL, and data transformation techniques.

• A background/experience in Security, Risk & Compliance.

• Ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions.

• Experience with data modelling and dimensional modelling techniques.

• Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proactive and results-driven with a continuous improvement focus.

• Good command of English language. Dutch language is a plus.

• It is possible to fulfil this role in 32 hours per week, but 40 has a strong preference.
